Library Marketing Course

The Library Marketing course is almost coming to and end...ohh the week has gone by so fast. The Namibian group of Information Managers are very alert and active in all the sessions and we are enjoying having them for the course! The student centered approach is really coming alive and most have confirmed that they are enjoying the course. We hope to see them for other courses in the year!
Namibia look out, these guys are ready to set a mark for themselves in the country!

Third and final day of the Web 2.0 workshop.

Morning! today is the thrid and final day of the web 2.0 workshop. I am  looking forward to learning more and enhancing my skills. Oh the days are flying by quickly! The only bad part so far has been not getting access to Internet on my laptop, the wireless at the hotel is down and the one here has so many firewalls I can't even access my work mail :-( . Its chilly today in Gaborone and was raining early morning, otherwise all is well and it seems it will be a fruitful and interesting day!

Upcoming Training Workshops

It's the month of December, but it seems I will be having a very short Christmas holiday. But it's ok because I love empowering other people with knowledge, and it's also an opportunity to learn and network with other professionals.

Now, these are the upcoming interesting workshops in brief:
  1. Web 2.0 in Rural Development - Nairobi, Kenya: December 8-10, 2010
  2. Web 2.0 in Environmental Impact Assessments - Harare, Zimbabwe: December 15-17, 2010
  3. Techniques of information collaboration in Agriculture - Windhoek, Namibia: December 29-31, 2010
  4. Use of Online Mapping in Agriculture Information Systems - Randburg, South Africa: January 05 - 07, 2011

Am looking forward to these workshops. For more information visit: http://ecoinnovationresearch.blogspot.com
